Lisa Portus is a freelance bassoonist based near Stroud, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom.
I have worked with numerous local ensembles and orchestras. I am also a founding member of the Westerly Winds quintet.
I am also a bassoon teacher with over 20 years’ experience, nurturing many pupils to Grade 8+ and with a number also successfully auditioning for the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland.
In addition, I am an established arranger. I launched Portus Press in 2008 – a specialist arranging and publishing business producing arrangements for wind quintet, wind quintet & piano, wind quartet and bassoon quartet.
